Nola’s current Work-In-Progress is upmarket 1980s historical fiction about a compunctious young man who returns to his small hometown to care for his mother after her Alzheimer’s diagnosis and faces the unresolved ramifications of his role in his best friend’s deadly accident a decade earlier. Confronted by memories and new, unexpected truths, he must find the courage to reconcile with the past before it dictates his–and his mother’s–future.
